Yes, it does harm your pores. It clogs up the pores, which lead to more bad skin.

Yes..it clogs your pores with bacteria.
If you really need to wear makeup, use a tinted moisturizer.
Take off your makeup as soon as your get home (and don’t need to wear it). Then wash your face.

Yes, it usually worsens it more if you use makeup. For me it is so subtle it doesn’t really matter. I don’t use foundation but i use mineral powder & it doesn’t seem to affect it.

makeup can only really harm your face if you dont wash it off properly after wearing it. i barely have pimples & i wear makeup almost every day. just wash it off after & follow up with a moisturizer and/or acne cream.

i dont have sensitive skin so i can wear almost anything & not break out.
it all depends on your skin type & how it reacts with the makeup. you’re probably using makeup that is too harsh/reacting badly with your skin which is why you’re breaking out. i would try different brands & see what works for you.
and remember to ALWAYS use a makeup remover/wash off your makeup off at night.

it can. if you’ve noticed this, then try using less concealer & foundation. make sure you always wash your face at night getting all the make up off. if you have oily skin to start with, use products that are made for skin like yours.
another tip is to use proactiv, or another kind of face wash.
and eventually if you use it, you won’t have to wear any kind of cover up. just keep using the face wash.

It does if you choose a foundation with acne-causing ingredients. Go to this website & choose a foundation that doesn’t include any of the ingredients rated 3, 4, or 5. (I’d choose a Physicians Formula mineral makeup.) http://www.zerozits.com/Articles/acnedetect.htm

If you have a history of clogged pores & break outs, liquid foundation probably isn’t for you. Unless you get a non-comedogenic foundation.
Liquid foundation is good for people with dry skin
If you have oily skin I recommend a powder foundation like Bare Minerals or some other kind of mineral make up.

    Ashley says:

It can cause your face to break out more if you sleep in your make up or wear it too long. Be sure that you NEVER go to bed with your makeup on. And you should also check out mineral makeup, like bare Essentials or Jane Iredale because it doesn’t clog pore or harbor bacteria.
